Curried Broccoli with Hard Boiled Egg

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 bunch of broccoli, separated into small flowerets, stems peeled and cut into 1/8 inch slices
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
3/4 teaspoon curry powder
1 hard boiled large egg, grated coarse
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
fresh lemon juice to taste

Directions:
In a large skillet, heat the oil over moderately high heat until it is hot but not smoking and in it, sauté the broccoli, stirring, for 1 minute, or until it is bright green.

Stir in the garlic and the curry powder and cook the mixture over moderate heat, stirring, for 30 seconds. Add 1/3 cup water, bring it to a boil, and simmer the broccoli, covered partially, for 5 minutes, or until it is just tender and the water is nearly evaporated.

Stir in the hard boiled egg, the butter, the lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste.

Serves 2.
