3 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
1 cup cream style cottage cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
ground nutmeg
cherry preserves or jam
Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl lightly beat eggs. Stir in milk, cottage cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Beat with a rotary beater till combined. Place six 6 ounce custard cups in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan on an oven rack. Divide custard mixture among the custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Pour boiling water into pan around custard cups to a depth of 1 inch. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 to 35 minutes or till a knife inserted near center comes out clean. Serve warm or chilled. Top with preserves or jam.
Makes 6 servings.
