1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 square (1 ounce) semi sweet chocolate
3 unbeaten eggs
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons bourbon or water
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
For crust, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in the 1/2 cup butter or margarine till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans. Press crust mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small heavy saucepan combine the 1/4 butter or margarine and chocolate. Heat and stir over low heat till chocolate melts. Combine eggs, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, and melted chocolate mixture. Stir till combined. Pour over crust. Return to oven. Bake 20 minutes more or until set. Cool. Cut into bars.
