Steamed Ginger Rice

2 tablespoons dry white wine 1 1/2 tablespoons finely shredded, peeled fresh gingerroot 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 1 cup long grain white rice Directions: Place the wine, ginger, salt, butter and 2 cups cold water in a small heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce the heat to low and stir in the rice. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed. Toss gently with a fork before serving. Makes 4 servings.
